The TI-83 is a graphing calculator released in 1996 by Texas Instruments. It is an upgraded version of the TI-82 from 1993 and features the same 6 megahertz Z80 processor as the TI-82 but with 32 Kilobytes of User RAM instead of 28 kilobytes. The TI-83 can communicate with other TI-83 family models as well as TI-84 models.
The TI-83 is the oldest direct predecessor to the TI-84 Plus family that can still communicate with it, but does not support all of the newer features that were introduced with later TI-83 family models and TI-84 Plus family models, like Apps for example or assembly programs.
I own a single example of this calculator which is in working condition with the slide case.
This calculator was manufactured April 1999. It is in working order with a line of dead pixels that intermittenly works. It runs OS 1.10 and I obtained it January 2nd, 2024. The buttons on this calculator are very good. It is cosmetically not in great condition with stickers and residue on the case and calculator's battery cover. It has the guidebook.
